The contents of the report described in Article 11 of the Terms and Conditions of Use are based on the published results, if any, of the use of SHIROKANE. You do not need to provide any detailed information, but please provide the title of your paper or book, the URL of your website, or the date, time, and location of your lecture or presentation.

We receive reports at the end of use or once a year. There is no form for the report. If you need a template, please use one of the three formats on the web page below.

It is possible to enter into an NDA. There is a template for this, so please contact us. Please note that the Center will not have any knowledge of the User’s use of SHIROKANE without disclosure from the User. In addition, we will not use any confidential information that we have learned to support the user.

Please fill out the account application form and send it to the SHIROKANE Support Team by email. (If you have an application form sent to you by the SHIROKANE Support Officer, please use the most recent version for each group).
You will be contacted by email as soon as your account has been added (password will be sent to you). Representatives who are new to the system should submit the application for use of the computer system with the application form.

In the “Person Responsible for Accounting” field, please indicate the person who is authorized to make payments as an institution. Depending on the agency, it is usually an accounting manager or an office manager. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact the department in charge of the university, not the accounting staff of the laboratory.

If you would like to make a semi-annual request in the Notes column on Input Sheet 2 of the application form, you may submit one request.

It must be submitted by the last day of the usage period. However, any changes to your usage, such as course changes or home disk additions, must be submitted at least one week before the last day of your usage period. If submitted after that time, there may be a delay in reflecting the contents of the application in the system.

It is possible. Please list the new corresponding user or principal investigator on the application form and submit it. If you want to change only the corresponding user, you can request a “change” on the account application form. The support staff can confirm that the previous principal investigator has agreed to the change of principal investigator and that the change of principal investigator has been approved. If you do not have this option, we may decline your request.

The maximum number of characters in a SHIROKANE account is 8.
The available characters are alphanumeric (a-z, -, _) and numeric (1-9, 0).

If you want to use SHIROKANE on a small scale to check the operation of your analysis program, you can use it free of charge. For more information, please see the fee chart page.

There will be no cancellation charge. A usage fee will be a charged from the month of application to the end of the month of cancellation.

The center has no rules about the type of funding from which fees are paid. Please check with the institute to which you belong.

Bills are basically sent by the beginning of the month for users paying by the month, and by the end of the month of application for users paying by the year.

If you have forgotten the passphrase of your private key for SSH connection to the SHIROKANE login node, create a new key pair and register a new public key with SHIROKANE. There is nothing we can do about the passphrase because the private key is what you have.
